A strong one-on-one player with a defend-first mindset, the 18-year-old played a key role in the Eastern Ranges premiership-winning side in the Coates Talent League this year, averaging 20.5 disposals across 17 matches to finish runner-up in his side’s best and fairest. He also capped off his breakout campaign with a strong finals campaign en route to his premiership win. A late call up to the National Draft Combine this year following a string of starring performances, Taylor’s elite athletic profile was on full display, clocking the fastest 20m sprint at the combine with a time of 2.82 seconds, while also ranking second on the agility test with a time of 7.84 seconds.
