Captain Toby Greene headlines five inclusions to the GIANTS’ extended squad for Sunday’s crucial clash with the Kangaroos in Canberra.
Missing last week’s loss to the Dogs via a one-match suspension, Greene will return to the side looking to help lead the GIANTS to a vital victory over North Melbourne as the club continues its push for a spot in September.
The superstar skipper is joined in Sunday’s extended squad by Jacob Wehr, James Leake, Max Gruzewski, and veteran utility Lachlan Keeffe who all come into AFL consideration following consistent form for the club’s VFL side.
Missing from last week’s side will be Jesse Hogan and Toby McMullin, with Hogan to be managed, while McMullin will unfortunately miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery for a syndesmosis injury suffered last week against the Bulldogs.
The GIANTS will name their final side of 23 on Friday at 5pm.
The GIANTS and the Kangaroos will battle from 1:40pm on Sunday at Corroboree Group Oval, Manuka.
