Irishwoman Eilish O’Dowd will be a test for this weekend’s round two clash against the Tigers following an impressive debut in her side’s 63-point win over the Bulldogs in Canberra on Saturday.
The 26-year-old ruck suffered an ankle sprain in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s season opener and will need to get through Thursday’s main training to prove her fitness.
Fellow GIANTS debutant Mikayla Pauga was helped from the field on Saturday after a heavy collision but has been cleared of any injury.
The GIANTS will travel to Melbourne this weekend to take on the Tigers on Sunday at 1:05pm.
