The GIANTS’ AFLW program will descend on Canberra next month for a Girls Footy Festival and a host of school visits for their 2024 AFLW Community Camp.

The GIANTS will visit the nation’s capital on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5 to engage with hundreds of kids from across Canberra in a fun-filled community camp.

Headlining the camp is the Canberra Girls Footy Festival which welcomes along young girls of all skill levels and abilities - as well as all eight Canberra junior footy clubs - for a jam-packed night of footy fun featuring GIANTS AFLW stars.

Held at EPC Solar Park in Phillip, the footy festival is open to current players as well as anyone wanting to come and try Aussie Rules football in a fun and friendly environment featuring AFLW stars, activities and games, large inflatable and giveaways and a barbecue.

As part of the camp, the GIANTS will also hold a Coach Your Way coaching session featuring GIANTS coaching staff and star defender Katherine Smith.

The GIANTS will also connect with hundreds of Canberra school children on the camp when they pay special visits to several schools around the nation’s capital on Friday morning.

Following the community camp, the GIANTS AFLW program will head to Kangaroo Valley for their pre-season camp featuring two days of intense training and team-bonding exercises in preparation for the upcoming AFLW season which begins in late August.
