The GIANTS have a new project on the way, a weekly podcast titled ‘In the Green Room’.

The podcast, which will be hosted by GIANTS 5’11” midfielder Tom Green and GIANTS Content Manager Jacob Gaynor, is a catch-up between the pair, with the Canberrans sharing their unique takes on varying topics across the world of sport.

The pair, who share 67 AFL games, a Members Choice Award and Rising Star Award between them, will also welcome special guests to the program, with Mason Cox*, Dua Lipa* and Toby Greene* also set to feature on the program.

“Podcasting is something I’ve always been interested in,” said Green.

“It’s a platform that combines two of my favourite things; talking, and people listening to what I’m saying.

“Obviously I can’t play football forever, although I reckon I have 300 games and at least one Brownlow Medal lying ahead.

“Anyway, I guess this is a good avenue to prepare for life after the AFL, and I’m excited to do that alongside that short guy that makes memes.”

Somehow Tom Green has been given a microphone and a public forum.

Gaynor echoed Green’s excitement for the program.

“It’ll be good fun, I hope we don’t get cancelled, but never say never,” Gaynor said.

“Tom loves his own voice and has a head for podcasting, it’s the perfect mix.”

The show will make its debut early next month with new episodes to be released weekly on all major podcast platforms including Apple and Spotify.

*Yet to agree to feature on the program.
