Key forward Georgia Garnett will face a fitness test for this weekend’s round 10 match with the Power.

The 22-year-old injured her knee in the final quarter of the GIANTS’ round eight victory at Henson Park and was a late out for Friday night’s encounter with the Suns on the Gold Coast.

While scans last week showed no serious damage, the exciting young player was unable to prove her fitness for the match, with Gold Coast local, Caitlin Miller, named as the replacement player.

Garnett will increase her training loads this week and will be a test for Saturday’s game, which also marks the final game of the GIANTS’ 2023 season.

No new injuries came out of the GIANTS’ round nine match, while Alyce Parker, Annise Bradfield, Annalyse Lister, Brodee Mowbray, Meghan Gaffney and Tait Mackrill are all unavailable due to long-term injuries.
