During the Sydney Derby on Saturday, 334 people will reach out to Lifeline Australia.

The Sydney Derby proudly supports Lifeline to raise awareness and raise funds for mental health and suicide prevention in Australia. Lifeline plays an important role in supporting all Australians experiencing emotional distress. More people than ever before are reaching out for help and the money raised through The Lifeline Cup will support their services so Lifeline can be there for anyone, anytime, whatever the reason.

The Lifeline Cup is symbolic of Lifeline’s mission to ensure that no Australian has to face their darkest moments alone. The GIANTS and Swans know the importance of connection through sport and the positive impact it can have on mental health, which is why we are supporting Lifeline this Saturday.

We can all play a role in making seeking help the norm and helping to prevent suicide. Lifeline Cup is a great way people can support each other and connect through the game they love. Please show your support and buy a virtual seat in honour of those who can’t be at the game.

One virtual seat can fund a potentially life-saving phone call. Three virtual seats can fund training so our frontline staff can provide the best possible care to people in crisis. 30 virtual seats can fund an on the ground shift supervisor to support our volunteers.

Together with the GIANTS and Swans, help Lifeline continue to build resilient and safe communities through the power of sport and connection.
