Greater Western Sydney GIANTS Co-Captain Callan Ward said that the young squad are looking forward to making the trip west this week to take on the Fremantle Dockers at Patersons Stadium.
“I don’t mind going to Perth, I think it’s a beautiful place and I’ll be looking forward to it,” Ward said.
“I don’t think that the eighteen year olds will have travelled to Perth too much either so that will be a good experience for them and I think that everyone will be pretty excited.”

Ward said that while the club was disappointed by Sunday’s loss to the Crows, there were plenty of positives to take out of the day including the performance of GIANTS young gun Toby Greene.
“I have been impressed with some of our young players. Toby Greene has been awesome all year; he’s been averaging around 26 possessions a game so he’s been great for us.
“It’s performances like that that really show us how much we have to look forward to as a club.
“Hopefully we can go back and take some things out of that game that we didn’t do that well, work on them at training on Wednesday and take that to Perth this week.”
