Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins paid tribute to SKODA Stadium when he was a guest of the GIANTS at Sunday’s match against Adelaide.

“I’m loving it,” said Cummins.

“It’s my first time out here at SKODA and it’s a beautiful ground.”

Cummins joked with the crowd at the Chairman’s Lounge function after GIANTS CEO David Matthews suggested he play centre half back for the GIANTS.

“I actually said I prefer centre half forward I think to get all the glory,” said Cummins.

“Done!” said Matthews.

Cummins, a 19 year old pace sensation, has experienced the same rapid rise to stardom many of the GIANTS young list are now going through.

“I guess probably a year earlier I wouldn’t have even seen myself close to the NSW side and to get up there pretty quickly was phenomenal,” said Cummins.

“To play alongside some of the guys I’ve grown up watching like Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey and to get a win was even better.”
