The GIANTS - with eight listed players - were defeated by Geelong in the VFL on Sunday afternoon.
Ryan Hebron (16 disposals, four goals), Callum Brown (23 disposals) and Jake Stein (18 disposals) impressed for the GIANTS, but it wasn't enough as the GIANTS fell to an 8.8 (56) to 12.14 (86) defeat at GMHBA Stadium.
“Our preparation was really strong, but Geelong's skill execution and decision making was better," said GIANTS VFL coach Damian Truslove.
"Overall it was a disappointing result and we need to bounce back following the bye round."
Truslove shared his assessments of the AFL and VFL listed players who played in the match.

Another good game playing in the midfield. He was great at the stoppages and worked hard around the ground.

He's still recovering from illness, but his ruck work was really good.

Another solid performance down back. He attacked the ball and opposition with aggression and gave us some excitement in the air.

Defended really well in the back half. He got involved with our ball movement and fought hard around the ground.

He had a quiet day in the ruck and unfortunately went off with a bad cork in the third quarter.

Played down back again this week. He was great offensively out of the back half and used the ball well by foot.

Had a fantastic game playing down back. He showed a lot of courage and saved a lot of goals throughout the contest.
