The GIANTS have added 10 names to their squad of 26 to take on the West Coast Eagles in Sir Doug Nicholls Round on Sunday at GIANTS Stadium.

The final 22 will be named on Friday at 5pm but interim senior coach Mark McVeigh has already made his mark, including several new faces in his squad.

Forwards Jesse Hogan and Zach Sproule have been included in the team and are set to face the Eagles, alongside last week's late inclusion Jake Riccardi, who has maintained his spot.

Hogan returns from illness while Sproule will play his first game of the year after two shoulder reconstructions in the off-season.

Bobby Hill returns to the line-up after being the medi-sub for last week's match against Carlton.

Included on an extended interchange of eight - which will be trimmed to four on Friday - are utility Jarrod Brander, midfielder Tanner Bruhn, defender Jake Stein, ruck Matt Flynn and forward James Peatling.

Youngsters Josh Fahey and Jacob Wehr have also been included on the interchange and could be set for AFL debuts, should they be selected in the final squad following main training on Friday.

Fellow youngsters Conor Stone (hamstring) and Finn Callaghan (shoulder) were ruled out earlier in the week with injury, with Lachie Whitfield (ankle) and Nick Haynes (illness) also unable to take their places for the round 10 clash.

Whitfield has had an acute flare up of an ankle injury and will be assessed early next week for his availability for round 11. Haynes has battled the flu all week and won't be fit for Sunday's match.

Cooper Hamilton and Lachlan Keeffe have been omitted.

The final 22 to take on the Eagles will be named at 5pm on Friday.

The GIANTS will proudly wear their 2022 AFL Indigenous jumper, designed by NSW artist Peter Whitton, for this weekend's Sir Doug Nicholls Round.

The GIANTS 2022 AFL Indigenous jumper design is called ‘Together We Stand’ and represents all those within the GIANTS family - the club, players, staff, members, fans and Indigenous culture - coming together to stand tall.

Join us at GIANTS Stadium to celebrate and acknowledge the traditional owners of our lands with a smoking ceremony and Welcome to Country and take part in our Indigenous art workshop in the Recruits Zone.

The GIANTS take on the West Coast Eagles at GIANTS Stadium on Sunday at 2:10pm.
