Ruck Braydon Preuss will make his club debut at GIANTS Stadium on Saturday against the Gold Coast Suns as one of five inclusions.

The former Demon and Kangaroo joined the GIANTS at the end of 2020, with a shoulder reconstruction and torn pectoral muscle keeping him sidelined for the entire 2021 season.

In last week’s VFL game, Preuss had 41 hit-outs, 21 disposals and kicked a goal.

“I think he's going to be nervous but our boys look forward to seeing him get out there and have some really good connection with our midfielders,” coach Leon Cameron said.

Also into the side are defenders Jake Stein, Lachlan Keeffe and James Peatling, along with last week’s medi-sub Matt de Boer.

Out of the side with injury are Phil Davis (hamstring) and Daniel Lloyd (forearm) while Matt Flynn, Jarrod Brander and Jake Riccardi have been omitted.

“We come up against the Gold Coast this weekend who are arguably one of the hardest working clubs going around at the moment,” Cameron said.

“They lead a lot of indicators - pressure, front-half footy and contested ball.

“We’ve challenged our group to match that, and then some, against the Suns on Saturday.”

The GIANTS return to GIANTS Stadium for the first time in 287 days when they take on the Gold Coast Suns at 4:35pm on Saturday afternoon.
