With the AFLW pre-season underway it’s time officially induct our newest GIANTS and announce their playing numbers for the upcoming season.
Moving from the classroom to the footy field, 18-year-old Jess Doyle will wear the number five jumper, previously worn by dual sportswoman Jodie Hicks.
Former Carlton captain Katie Loynes has hung up her #2 jumper at Carlton for a fresh start as the GIANTS’ number #7. It’s been a like for like swap with Loynes picking up former GIANT Jess Dal Pos’ number, with Dal Pos set to wear Loynes’ old number at Carlton next year.
Joining the GIANTS in the trade period, Jasmine Grierson - formerly of North Melbourne and Melbourne - is set to continue her 32-game career wearing the number #10 jumper for the GIANTS.
