Erin McKinnon fell in love with AFL when her brother started playing Auskick. McKinnon wanted to play too and was told that due to a lack of numbers, she would have to arrange enough players to make a team and her local club, the Mosman Swans, would support them by supplying uniforms. An outstanding tap ruck, McKinnon burst onto the AFLW scene, earning a NAB AFLW Rising Star nomination in 2017 and being named All Australian ruck in 2018. She has continued to develop her craft and be a key part of the GIANTS' side.
