Jeremy Finlayson grew up in Culcairn in southern NSW and was drafted from the GIANTS Academy. He is a tall forward who can play deep in attack where he can be difficult to stop with his strong marking ability. He is athletic and balanced, but also possesses a high degree of mobility away from goal. A raw prospect, Finlayson continued to develop in his first two years at the club before making his debut in round 15, 2017. Finlayson played 14 games in 2018 as a defender before moving forward in 2019 to kick 44 goals from 23 games. He was a mainstay of the GIANTS' forward line in 2020.
