One of the competition’s premier midfielders for almost a decade, Oliver joined the GIANTS from the Demons via a trade ahead of the 2026 AFL season. The 189cm midfield bull is a three-time All Australian, four-time Demons best and fairest winner, a 2021 Demons premiership player, and a two-time AFLCA Player of the Year winner. Possessing some of the best hands in the game and one of the league’s top clearance players, Oliver will look to return to his best with a fresh start at the GIANTS in 2026 where he joins a star-studded midfield alongside the likes of Finn Callaghan and Tom Green. Oliver was originally drafted by the Demons with pick four in the 2015 Draft and after recording 22 disposals in his AFL debut it was clear to see he had all the makings to be a star of the competition. Oliver cemented his standing as a young gun of the competition after winning the Demons best and fairest in just his second season, an award he would ultimately win four times. Oliver played a crucial role in Melbourne’s 2021 premiership win and finished with 205 games in red and blue before joining the GIANTS.
