A GIANTS Academy product recruited by the club in the 2022 Rookie Draft, Madden is a hulking 204cm ruckman who has spent his first three years at the club developing strongly under the guidance of ruck coach Shane Mumford. Hailing from Osborne in New South Wales Riverina region, Madden is an ultra-competitor who has impressive aerial skills and ruck craft for a player of his age and size. Madden pressed his claims for an AFL debut in 2024 with an eye-catching run of dominant VFL form before his season was hampered by a lengthy ankle injury. Madden’s talent and hard work was rewarded, however, in round 13, 2025 with an AFL debut against the Power. Looking comfortable at the highest level, Madden managed three AFL games in 2025 and will be hoping to break his way into the AFL side for more appearances in 2026.
