A dynamic and hard-running midfielder/half forward selected with pick 22 in the 2018 AFL Draft, O’Halloran is an outstanding leader who captained Vic Metro as a teenager. Known for his burst of speed, endurance, and toughness, O’Halloran has been a solid and versatile contributor to the GIANTS, making an impact both as a midfielder and a high half-forward. After making his debut in round 10, 2020, O’Halloran reached the 50 AFL game milestone in 2024 in a season in which he played a career-high 19 AFL games. O’Halloran comes from a strong footballing background, with his late grandfather, Ron McCarthy, having played 42 games for Footscray, including being part of their 1954 premiership-winning team.
