Joining the GIANTS as a Category B Rookie at the end of 2023, Wardius is a medium forward from the Hume League where the crafty and creative youngster kicked 149 goals in 49 games. A previous member of the GIANTS Academy, Wardius is a country boy who prior to joining the GIANTS spent two years working on his family farm in NSW. Despite his slight frame, Wardius played senior local football for three years in the Hume League including the 2023 finals series where he kicked 15 goals from three finals. After he put forward several impressive performances for the GIANTS’ VFL side across the 2024 season, Wardius took his game to another level in 2025 where he starred for the club’s VFL to continue to press for an AFL debut. Unfortunately Wardius ruptured his ACL towards the end of the 2025 VFL season and will now aim to return to the field late in the 2026 season.
