GIANTS forward Toby Greene has been charged with striking and offered a two-match suspension by the Match Review Officer.

The MRO graded the incident between Greene and Geelong’s Patrick Dangerfield from Friday night’s game as careless conduct, high contact and high impact.

The GIANTS will challenge the decision at the AFL tribunal early next week.

“We firmly believe this was a football action and doesn’t warrant a suspension,” GIANTS General Manager of Football Jason McCartney said.

“As such, we will challenge the initial ruling at the tribunal.”

The GIANTS take on Richmond and Carlton in the final two rounds of the season.
