The GIANTS have made two changes for Sunday’s clash with Port Adelaide at Metricon Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Superstar forward Toby Greene returns from nine days in quarantine, having missed the past two matches in isolation.

Greene will captain the side with regular skipper Stephen Coniglio sidelined for another week with a toe injury.

“It’s great to welcome Toby back, as you can imagine he’s champing at the bit to get back into it,” coach Leon Cameron said.

“He was able to do a fair bit of training while in isolation and come out and participated in our main session so he’s as ready as he can be for Sunday afternoon.”

As revealed on Friday morning, Western Sydney Academy product James Peatling will make his AFL debut after becoming the club’s first-ever mid-season rookie pick just two months ago.

“We’re really excited for JP to play his first game,” Cameron said.

“He’s such a great story - a kid from Western Sydney who had to bide his time and work really hard to get where he is today.

“It’s a wonderful reward for him, he’s knocked the door down with his form and we’re excited to see what he can bring on Sunday.”

Adam Kennedy goes out of the side with a minor hamstring injury while Tanner Bruhn has been omitted.

Cameron said he’s looking forward to taking on the in-form Power in what will be the GIANTS’ home game on the Gold Coast.

“It’s a huge game, the Power are clearly in great form and it’s a huge test for our side,” he said.

“We know we need to find some consistency so after a great win last week we’re looking forward to taking it up to Port at Metricon Stadium.”

Cameron paid tribute to forward Harry Himmelberg who will play his 100th AFL game on Sunday.

Hailing from Wagga Wagga in southern NSW, Himmelberg was a graduate of the GIANTS Academy and played a season in Canberra before being drafted as a first-round selection in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft.

“It’s a terrific effort for Harry,” he said.

“It’s a wonderful achievement to reach 100 games. He’s found some great consistency this season and developed into a really important part of our team.”
