The GIANTS have made four changes for Sunday night’s crucial Sydney Derby at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast.

As announced on Thursday evening, GIANTS captain Stephen Coniglio will officially return against the Swans in Sydney Derby XXI.

Shane Mumford will miss this week’s match with a back injury with Matt Flynn coming back into the side to replace the 35-year-old.

Last week’s medi-sub Jeremy Finlayson has retained his spot in the side after coming on early last round for the injured Lachie Whitfield who is sidelined with concussion.

Xavier O'Halloran has fought his way back into the GIANTS’ starting 22 on the back of some impressive form in the VFL.

The 21-year-old replaces small forward Bobby Hill who is being managed.

The GIANTS will be without Lachie Whitfield (concussion), Bobby Hill (managed), Shane Mumford (back) and Lachie Ash (omitted).

GIANTS coach Leon Cameron said:

“Sunday's a game we’re really looking forward to. Sydney are clearly in some very good form and we want to be challenging ourselves against the best.

“We’re looking forward to obviously welcoming back Stephen and Matt while it’s another great opportunity for Jeremy up forward.

“Xavier's played some important roles for us across the season as he continues to develop he'll get better and better at AFL level."

After another relocation for the two teams during the week - this time from Melbourne to Queensland - the 21st instalment of the Sydney Derby will be played at Metricon Stadium on Sunday night at 6:10pm.
