The GIANTS have re-called Matt de Boer, Adam Kennedy, Jake Stein and stand-in skipper Toby Greene for Sunday’s clash with North Melbourne.

As announced on Thursday, Greene returns after three weeks on the sidelines with a fractured shoulder.

De Boer will return to the midfield in his comeback from a hamstring injury suffered in round three while Kennedy will play his first game of the season after a shoulder reconstruction earlier in the year.

Kennedy will add experience to the GIANTS’ young backline alongside Stein, who will play his first game of the year and sixth of his career.

Xavier O’Halloran, Zach Sproule, Matt Buntine and Jake Riccardi have all been omitted.

GIANTS coach Leon Cameron said:

“We’re really looking forward to Sunday’s clash and a good, hard battle between two young sides.

“We’re feeling refreshed after the bye and are looking forward to attacking the second half of the season, starting on Sunday against the Kangaroos.

“They’re a side that are always hard to play against in Tassie so it’s going to be a great match.

“We’re looking forward to obviously welcoming back Toby, Matt and Adam from injury while it’s great for Jake to get a chance in that key defensive post.”

The GIANTS take on the Kangaroos on Sunday at Blundstone Arena with live coverage from 3:20pm on 7mate in NSW and the ACT and Fox Footy and Kayo nationally.
