The GIANTS have made just one change for Saturday afternoon’s clash against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba.

Xavier O’Halloran returns to the GIANTS’ team for his eighth game of the season after being the unused medical substitute last round.

The 20-year-old replaces defender Sam Taylor who suffered an ankle injury last week.

GIANTS coach Leon Cameron said:

“We’re excited to welcome Xavier back into the side.

“He’s played some important roles for us across the season as he continues to learn and get better and better at AFL level.

“You can’t replace Sam Taylor, particularly after the season he’s been having, so it will be a collective effort from all our backline to take on the Lions’ dangerous forwards.

“It’s a game we’re really looking forward to. Brisbane are clearly in some very good form and we want to be challenging ourselves against the best.”

The GIANTS take on the Lions at 2:10pm on Saturday afternoon at the Gabba.
