The GIANTS have matched Geelong's bid for restricted free agent Jeremy Cameron.

On Friday, Geelong lodged paperwork with the AFL to make Cameron a Geelong player on a five-year deal.

As is the club's right under free agency, the GIANTS have matched the bid, meaning Cameron is no longer a free agent.

A trade will need to be facilitated across the upcoming Trade Period for Cameron to become a Cat.

The Trade Period runs from 9am Wednesday, November 4 until Thursday, November 12 at 7:30pm.
