Greater Western Sydney GIANTS midfielder Rhys Palmer has told GIANTS TV he can’t wait to line up against former club Fremantle on Sunday.

“I’m very excited. I don’t know if I’m more excited just to get back to Perth or to actually play against my old side,” said Palmer.

“Either way it’s going to be a good weekend and hopefully we can put up a good game.”

Palmer is hoping for a positive welcome from Dockers fans, the club where he made his debut and won the NAB AFL Rising Star award.

“I’m sure they’ll be very kind to me, I served them for four years and did everything I could for them so hopefully they’re really welcoming,” said Palmer.

The midfielder has set his sights on continuing his run of strong performances for the GIANTS, which have included five goals and a contender for mark of the year.

“I just want to put in more some more consistent performances and just to be out on the park,” said Palmer.

“I think that’s the hardest thing to do at this time of the year, just to play every game and finish the season well.”
