The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS are pleased to once again support The Smith Family’s Christmas Appeal.

The Smith Family works in 96 communities across Australia, supporting 112,000 children and their families each year.

This year’s appeal aims to raise $4 million nationally which will go towards providing learning support and mentoring programs to disadvantaged children and young people.

The GIANTS have donated family memberships for a number of families across Western Sydney and the ACT to be included in The Smith Family Christmas packs.

GIANTS players have also generously donated their time to help pack some of the gift packs of toys and books to be delivered to children and their families.

GIANTS Chief Executive David Matthews said the GIANTS were proud to once again partner with The Smith Family who are Australia’s largest provider of education support to disadvantaged children and families.

“The Smith Family do a mountain of work in the Western Sydney and Canberra communities and it’s fantastic that we can once again support their Christmas Appeal,” Matthews said.

“This festive time of year can be tough for many families and as a club we’re pleased to be able to do contribute to the families in the region.

“Through The Smith Family we were able to identify the families that would best benefit from these packs and hopefully bring a little extra joy this Christmas,” he said.
