Greene v Collingwood

On the weekend that the GIANTS were meant to be hosting the black and white army at GIANTS Stadium, we’ll be re-living a Collingwood classic from the couch.

In this week’s edition of The Rewatchables, we re-live some classic matches on Twitter and dissect all the best bits with a special guest on our weekly podcast.

It won’t quite be the same as being at the ground, but we’ll make up for it the best we can.

Our guest for the podcast this weekend will be the one and only Toby Greene.

Having been at the club from the start, not many players are better placed than Greene to give an insight into the rivalry between the newest and the biggest clubs in the AFL.

We’ve only met on 10 occasions, but there already been a few classics.

In such a short space of time, we’ve already faced off in two finals (2018 and 2019) with over 70,000 people at the MCG on both occasions.

We’ve also played some tight home and away games at GIANTS Stadium as well as the MCG since 2012.

And who could forget the night Greene stood in as captain against the ‘Pies last season and led the club to 47-point victory.

This Saturday, GIANTS fans are urged to be on the couch at midday as we replay one of these classic games as the latest in our series of Rewatchables.

We won’t tell you which game it is, but you’ll be able to re-live it with the rest of the GIANTS family as we live tweet the game on Saturday via the AFL Live App.

Greene will then join the GIANTS Media team of Leigh Meyrick, Alison Zell and Craig Abercrombie to unpack the game with the podcast to be online by Sunday afternoon.

If you’re looking for another footy fix before Saturday, why don’t you catch up on previous Rewatchables as the GIANTS reflect on some famous victories from the recent years.

Log on from midday this Saturday for this week’s Rewatchables. We’ll see you there!
