Team GWS is looking for dedicated volunteers to get involved with the club as it prepares for its first ever TAC Cup season.
If you’ve got a love for AFL or simply want to be apart of this growing football club – one of these volunteer positions might be just for you.
1 x Match Day Videographer
This person will be responsible for capturing specific coaching footage throughout the duration of the game for all practice matches and home games in Sydney.
This is a volunteer role with the selected candidate having access to valuable insight into coaching and elite sport analysis. This role requires great attention to detail.
First home game is on Saturday March 20, however we would require this person to spend some time in the office prior to this match.
Match day time requirement - 3.5 hours.
Training for this role will be provided.
4 x Trainers
The candidates will provide both training and match day support to the physiotherapist, and will be responsible for running water to the players.
This is the perfect position for anyone interested in strapping, massage or injury prevention / treatment and looking to gain experience in the field. This will also be a volunteer role but again the candidates will gain valuable insights into elite sports.
Time requirements
Training Tuesday and Thursday nights 5:30-8pm
Match day - 3.5 hours
Required - Level 1 or 2 SMA qualified.
2 x match day statisticians
This position requires a candidate with a strong understanding of AFL rules and skills and will record all relevant match statistics for the duration of the game.
Match Day time requirements - 3 hours
Training for this role will be provided
1 x Time keeper
This role requires a high level of concentration with a strong understanding of AFL rules.
Match Day time requirements - 3 hours
1 x Interchange Steward
This role requires the person to record the interchange movements of both sides during the game from the boundary line.
