The GIANTS have acquired pick six after completing the club’s first trade of the 2019 Telstra Trade Period.

The GIANTS received picks six and 59 in the 2019 NAB AFL Draft from St Kilda in exchange for picks 12 and 18.

List Manager Jason McCartney said the GIANTS are excited to move up the order.

“This deal strengthens our draft hand by giving us a high first-round selection,” he said.

“It will allow us to bring in a quality talent that will complement our list, while the early fourth round pick gives us additional flexibility across our draft hand.

“We will continue to look to strengthen our playing list and draft hand over the remainder of the trade period.”

The GIANTS now hold picks 6, 40, 59, 60, 80 and 94 in the 2019 NAB AFL Draft to be held on November 27 and 28.

The 2019 Telstra Trade Period concludes on Wednesday, October 16 while clubs can continue to trade for draft picks until Tuesday, October 22.
