GIANTS utility Jess Doyle, has penned a two-year contract extension, keeping her in orange and charcoal until at least the end of the 2028 AFLW season.

The Sydney local played her junior footballer with the Pittwater Tigers and was drafted from the Manly Wolves with pick 49 in the 2021 AFLW Draft.

With a magnet that frequently moves around the board, Doyle has been impactful for the GIANTS at both ends of the field, often utilised as another strong set of hands behind the ball, while also kicking 19 goals across her six seasons, including three so far in 2026.

Touted for her intercept marking and strong aerial skills, Doyle’s ability to swing between defence and attack in-match has been a significant weapon through her time at the club.

An incredibly well-liked player for her effervescent personality around the club and dogged pursuit of opposition on-field, Doyle’s extension comes following her 50th match at AFLW level last weekend.

GIANTS Executive General Manager of AFLW, Alison Zell, congratulated Doyle on the extension and her impact on the game in Sydney.

“Jess is a true competitor and an incredible ambassador for the GIANTS, as both a footballer and person,” Zell said.

“We drafted Jess from the Sydney Swans Academy but she immediately adopted the GIANTS’ culture and identity and has been a huge part of it since entering the building.

“Jess is the kind of player who will always go above and beyond for her teammates, which makes her someone people love playing with and for.

“She’s an incredible person which makes her such an asset for our program and we’re very excited that she will continue to be part of it for a few years to come.”
