The GIANTS farewell Jake Stringer, with the experienced forward set to depart the club as an unrestricted free agent.

Stringer joined the GIANTS ahead of the 2025 Toyota AFL Season, following 212 games across the Western Bulldogs and Essendon.

The now 32-year-old played 38 games and kicked 73 games across his two seasons in the orange and charcoal.

Stringer played an important role in the GIANTS’ forward line across his time at the club, providing a physical presence and experience inside 50.

Both Stringer and the club agreed the time was right for both parties, with the 32-year-old confirming he will head back to Melbourne for family reasons.

GIANTS Executive General Manager of Football, Jason McCartney thanked Stringer for his services to the club.

“Jake has made a valuable contribution to our football club over the past two seasons and we thank him for his efforts in the orange and charcoal,” McCartney said.

“His experience and fire power added another dimension to our forward line and we were grateful for the sacrifices he and his family made to give two years.

“We wish him all the best for what the future holds.”
