The GIANTS have made two changes for Sunday’s historic clash with the Eagles, with duo Cody Angove and Toby McMullin entering the side following strong VFL form.
Set to feature in his first AFL game of the season, Angove’s inclusion is reward for consistent VFL form over the past two months after missing the first half of the season with a hamstring injury.
The hard-running 20-year-old will enter Adam Kingsley’s side fresh off collecting 18 disposals and kicking three goals in a huge win over the Suns in the VFL last week.
McMullin also returns following strong VFL form, with the dynamic utility recording 20 disposals, eight clearances, and two goals in the important win over the Gold Coast.
The duo enters the side to face the Eagles in place of the injured Jayden Laverde (lung) and Xavier O’Halloran (hamstring).
Meanwhile Toby Bedford will take his place in Sunday’s side after proving his fitness despite sitting out the second half of the loss to the Suns last week with irritation in his back.
Looking to keep their Wildcard hopes alive, the GIANTS will clash with the Eagles at 1:40pm on Sunday at ENGIE Stadium prior to the club’s AFLW clash at 4:45pm
The clash will also mark the club’s final game at ENGIE Stadium for the 2026 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
