GIANTS star Lachie Whitfield will miss Saturday’s Preliminary Final after having surgery to have his appendix out on Wednesday morning.
Whitfield was taken to hospital on Tuesday night and diagnosed with appendicitis.
A recovery time will be determine in the following days.
The GIANTS take on Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday at 4:35pm.
