Eleven AFL-listed GIANTS will feature in the club’s VFL Sydney Derby at the SCG on Friday afternoon.

Played as a curtain raiser to the AFL clash, the GIANTS have injected a host of AFL talent to their VFL side which is looking to remain undefeated with a win over the Swans on Friday.

Amongst the AFL cohort named are Max Gruzewski, Kieren Briggs, Callum Brown, James Leake, Joey Delana, Harry Oliver, and Finn Davis who all enter Friday’s side.

The clash will be Oliver’s first game of the season after overcoming a nasty cut on his lower leg, while Davis, who was taken with pick 51 in last year’s draft, will also play his first game of the season after overcoming a groin injury.

Jack Ough, Conor Stone, Oskar Taylor, and Riley Hamilton are the other AFL-listed GIANTS set to face the Swans in the VFL.

The other inclusion is newcomer Ethan Roberts who will make his VFL debut on Friday.

Meanwhile star VFL duo James Bell and Harvey Hooper will look to continue their brilliant starts to season 2026 fresh off helping lead the VFL to victory over the SANFL last week.

The GIANTS will enter Friday’s VFL encounter following both a club bye and a league-wide bye over the last two weeks.

Prior to the byes, the GIANTS started the VFL season off with a bang, with consecutive wins over the Saints and the Pies to sit at 2-0 ahead of the match up with the crosstown rival.

The VFL edition of the Sydney Derby will get under way at 3:35pm at the SCG on Friday.
