The GIANTS’ VFL side will feature nine AFL-listed GIANTS as well as eight new faces for their round one clash with the Saints at GIANTS HQ on Saturday.
Emerging ruck Nick Madden headlines the AFL-listed contingent, with Toby McMullin, Leek Aleer, James Leake, Jack Ough, Conor Stone, Ollie Hannaford, and recent draftees Oskar Taylor and Riley Hamilton also named to take on the Saints.
Having welcomed a host of fresh new talent to their VFL program over the summer, the GIANTS will unearth many of their new faces in round one, with boom VFL recruits James Bell and Harvey Hooper headlining the newcomers.
Others named to pull on the orange and charcoal for the first time on Saturday are Lachlan Grubb, Kye Pfrengle, Nick Kelly, Riley Dillon, and Jaxon East.
Saturday’s VFL clash will also mark the VFL debuts for Grubb, Kelly, Dillon, and East, as well as Declan Fitzgerald.
The season opener will also see GIANTS VFL skipper Ryan Hebron play his 100th VFL game.
The club’s round one clash will be played at Tom Wills Oval at GIANTS HQ on Saturday morning prior to the club’s AFL clash later that day nearby at ENGIE Stadium.
