The AFL has confirmed the details for its official 2026 pre-season fixture, with an exciting Sydney Derby set to take centre stage at Henson Park as part of the 2026 AAMI Community Series.
GIANTS fans will have their first chance to catch a glimpse of the 2026 team when they clash with the Swans on Thursday, February 26 at 4:10pm as part of the official pre-season fixture.
History will be made in the pre-season Derby, with the freshly announced fixture to be the first time the GIANTS and the Swans’ AFL sides have ever faced off at Henson Park.
The 2026 AAMI Community Series which will feature all 18 clubs taking part in official practices matches between Wednesday, February 25 and Sunday, March 1, 2026.
AAMI Community Series Matches will take on the following format:
- Four quarters of 20 mins plus time on (as per AFL Premiership Season).
- Squad of 30 players, 18 on field, eight interchange and four emergencies. Minimum of four players on the interchange bench during the match at any time.
- No interchange cap.
- Full panel of umpires appointed by the AFL.
All matches will be broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo and fully ticketed for fans to attend, with 2026 GIANTS members with game access, and kids, able to attend the GIANTS' pre-season fixture for free.
Tickets for the AAMI Community Series will go on sale in February.
