Finn Callaghan and Aaron Cadman have capped their remarkable seasons with selection in the AFL 22Under22 team for 2025.
A breakout year for Cadman has seen him kick a career best 44-goals to date, including five and six-goal hauls against the Lions and Cats respectively.
Establishing himself as one of the most damaging aerial targets in the league this year, the 21-year-old has been adding to his arsenal, moving further up the ground to act as a key transition target and stepping up as a consistent key forward - an especially important role during Jesse Hogan’s injury interrupted season.
His ball magnet teammate Callaghan also took his game to new heights in 2025.
Ranking elite in both kicks and disposals across the season, Callaghan has become a critical component of the GIANTS midfield, for his ability to move the ball out of congestion and create chances inside 50.
The pair’s selection spotlights a bright future for the GIANTS, with both the young stars signing long-term contracts to remain with the club during the season.
Callaghan began his 2025 by signing a four-year extension, committing him to the club until the end of the 2029 season, while Cadman’s own four-year extension was announced in July, making him a GIANT until at least the end of the 2030 season.
The 22Under22 selections are just desserts for two of the game’s emerging stars, already both key parts of the GIANTS young core.
