Versatile midfielder Daisy Walker edges closer to a club debut for the GIANTS, with the youngster slated to test her knee in an AFLW scrimmage this weekend.

Walker hasn’t played a game at AFLW level in 667 days, having missed the entirety of 2024 after sustaining an ACL injury during that pre-season.

Former Sun Viv Saad also continues to edge towards a club debut and will commence contact training with the team this week coming off an achilles injury last season. She has progressed quickly and is likely to be eligible for selection next week.

Alyce Parker was ruled out for the remainder of the regular season earlier this week, after fracturing her foot in the round one loss to the Bombers.

The GIANTS travel to Melbourne to take on Collingwood in round two of the 2025 NAB AFLW season, with Cam Bernasconi to name his side to take on the Magpies at gwsgiants.com.au at 6:20pm on Thursday.
