A historic Friday night Derby with the Swans at ENGIE Stadium headlines a GIANT fixture announcement featuring a host of primetime clashes in the back half of the 2025 AFL season.

On Thursday the AFL released the remaining fixture for rounds 16-23 as part of a staggered schedule that enables the League to place more blockbuster games in marquee timeslots.

The GIANTS have been given a host of marquee matches in Thursday’s announcement, with the club’s exciting orange tsunami playing style helping book them two huge Thursday night fixtures and two Friday night blockbusters, as well as exciting afternoon and twilight fixtures at ENGIE Stadium and Corroboree Group Manuka Oval.

The newly released fixture will first see the GIANTS take centre stage on Friday night in round 17 as they head west to take on the Eagles under the bright Friday night lights of Optus Stadium.

The GIANTS will then return home for an exciting Saturday twilight clash at ENGIE Stadium in round 18 in which they’ll welcome the Cats to town in a much-anticipated rematch of their thriller in Geelong last weekend.

In Round 19 the GIANTS will take centre stage once again in a Thursday night shootout with the Bombers under the roof of Marvel Stadium.

The eyes of the footy world will then turn to the Harbour City in round 20 as the GIANTS host the Swans on a Friday night, under the bright lights of ENGIE Stadium in what is sure to be another spicy Sydney Derby.

The marquee timeslots continue for the GIANTS in round 21 as they return to Melbourne for a mouthwatering Thursday night clash with the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium.

Adam Kingsley’s side will descend on the nation’s capital in round 22 where they’ll treat the club’s passionate Canberra fan base to an exciting Sunday afternoon clash with the Kangaroos at Corroboree Group Manuka Oval.

In round 23 the GIANTS will head north to take on the Suns as the League’s two youngest sides battle it out for the Expansion Cup in the Gold Coast heat on a Saturday afternoon.

The final round of the season – in which the GIANTS will host the Saints in a potential finals-shaping clash at ENGIE Stadium – will be confirmed by the AFL later in the season.
