The GIANTS could be bolstered by the return of some key figures, with a host of players listed as a test for this weekend’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round match at ENGIE Stadium.
Toby Bedford will consult with the eye specialist on Wednesday morning, seeking medical clearance following an incident in the round eight Sydney Derby which resulted in him missing last weekend’s trip to Geelong.
Darcy Jones is also on track to return, after knee soreness forced him to sit out the round nine win last Sunday.
Captain Toby Greene will be given until the last minute to prove his fitness to take on Walyalup on Saturday, after rolling his ankle in the third quarter of last weekend’s thrilling four-point win over the Cats.
Vice-captain Stephen Coniglio will look to complete a full week of training this week, as he looks to return for his first game since round three.
Fellow vice-captain, Josh Kelly, will increase his conditioning running this week, while Brent Daniels will look to progress to modified training.
Meanwhile, scans have confirmed a moderate hamstring strain for Jake Stringer, with the dynamic forward set to miss the next 3-4 weeks.
The GIANTS will return home to ENGIE Stadium this weekend to take on Walyalup, with the action to get underway from 4:15pm.
