The GIANTS will unleash a Western Sydney debutant as one of three changes for this weekend’s blockbuster clash with the Swans at the SCG.
Alongside the debut of Josaia Delana, defender Joe Fonti and forward Callum Brown will come into the side for the 30th edition of the Sydney Derby.
Fonti will line up for his first game of the season, with the dashing defender looking to build on the five career games he played in his debut year last season.
The West Australian has shown impressive form throughout the club’s VFL campaign to date, with last weekend’s performance – 24 disposals, seven marks, and four tackles – a clear example of the 20-year-old's potential.
Brown returns for his sixth AFL game of the season, having featured in all four of the GIANTS’ wins so far in the 2025 campaign.
The flashy-forward – who served as the club’s travelling emergency for last week’s round seven fixture in Canberra – was one of the standout performers in the 73-point VFL win over Footscray, earning his recall.
The trio come into the side in place of injured duo Jake Riccardi (hand) and Josh Kelly (hip), alongside Conor Stone (omitted).
The GIANTS will take on the Swans in Derby XXX this Sunday at the SCG with the action to get underway from 1:10pm.
