Veteran utility Lachlan Keeffe and versatile rookie Cooper Hamilton have re-signed with the club for a further season.

33-year-old Keeffe played 14 games for the club in 2023, including as a key forward and ruck during the GIANTS’ run through to the preliminary final.

20-year-old Hamilton made his AFL debut in round seven last season, playing four games in season 2022 and another four this year before a stress fracture in his foot sidelined him for the rest of the year.

GIANTS General Manager of Football Jason McCartney said the club was pleased to offer the popular teammates another season.

“Lachie and Cooper are much-loved members of our group,” McCartney said.

“Lachie provides us with great versatility as a tall who can play key roles back, forward and in the ruck.

“Cooper had some injury challenges this year but has worked his way back to full fitness and will hit the ground running this pre-season.”

With the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period now closed, the GIANTS will head to the Draft on November 20 and 21 with two first-round pick in 7 and 16 as well as 43, 59, 77, 79 and 95.
