Greater Western Sydney GIANTS Co-captain Luke Power has paid tribute to Kevin Sheedy after the Club Champion award was named in his honour.
“The players are wrapped, we all have a deep affection for Sheeds,” said Power.
“He’s definitely a great person to have around with his skill set and his knowledge as well as the way he treats people he meets.
“I’m sure that players in coming years will be looking to play some good footy and put their name on a trophy that bears Kevin’s name.
“Kevin has been there the whole way and it’s a massive coup for everyone to have an award like that named after a person like Kevin. He’s vested now.
“He absolutely loves it and we love him. Long after we’re gone, the name Kevin Sheedy will definitely be a big name with GWS.”
