GIANTS AFLW Season Seven members are entitled to game day access at both home and away games. Simply redeem your ticket through the GIANTS club app to attend Sunday’s match.
Last Time They Met: For a second time this season the GIANTS come up against an expansion side. Hawthorn were one of four new teams to enter the competition at the start of season seven, with no head-to-head history available between them and the GIANTS.
Broadcast: The match will be broadcast live from 3:00pm on 7Mate in NSW and ACT, as well as Foxtel, Kayo and the Official AFLW App.
What it Means for the GIANTS: The GIANTS will be looking to continue their winning ways at Henson Park this Sunday. The rollercoaster ride of season seven continued for the GIANTS last week as they were defeated by the Pies, but the team in orange and charcoal finished the game strong. The GIANTS will need to produce a consistent performance from start to finish this Sunday in order to record their third win of the season.
Where’s the Opposition At: After securing their first ever AFLW win in round five against the Swans, the Hawks have had back-to-back-to-back wins and find themselves sitting in 11th position with three rounds remaining. The Hawks come off a 13-point win over Port Adelaide last week at home.
Player Watch: Katherine Smith – one of the more consistent performers this season, Cam Bernasconi has been full of praise for the 24-year-old in recent weeks. Playing as a forward earlier this year in season six, Smith is relishing in her new-look role down back for the GIANTS.
In the Mix: Young forwards Jess Doyle and Georgie Fowler will be hopeful of returning to the team for a home game, with two potential debutants remaining on the GIANTS’ squad list with Tess Cattle and Zara Hamilton patiently waiting for their opportunities.
