NAIDOC week is held in the first week of July each year (Sunday to Sunday) to celebrate and recognise the rich history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

It is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures, and to get to know your local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities through activities and events.

This year’s theme is Get up! Stand Up! Show Up!

Getting Up, Standing Up, and Showing Up can take many forms, and at the GIANTS we are encouraging everyone within our community to take a stand and use their voices for change.

If you’re not sure where to start, but are keen to get involved in NAIDOC week, below are some resources to point you in the right direction.
