Midfielder Josh Kelly has joined the growing list of GIANTS to appear on The Footy Phil podcast.

The exciting 24-year-old chatted with co-captain Phil Davis and GIANTS Media’s Alison Zell about growing up in the “bubble” that was the Melbourne suburb of Brighton and how he found out he was going to become a GIANT before the 2013 NAB AFL Draft.

Davis speaks about how his first impressions of Kelly after watching him dominate the 2013 NAB Under-18 carnival, while Kelly talks openly about how he’s dealt with the media circus that comes with his contract talks.

The two GIANTS re-cap the club’s historic first win over the Cats in Geelong and speak about the impact the Callan Ward’s injury had on the playing group that day, and expand on how Ward’s humility and leadership following his season-ending knee injury inspired the group to a special win.

Kelly and Davis give their thoughts on Thursday night football and how they see the state of the game so far in 2019, while Davis reveals he’s been following Gold Coast’s progress closely and is enjoying their ‘win at all costs’ attitude.

The duo also look ahead to the GIANTS’ clash with Fremantle in Canberra on Saturday, which you can purchase tickets to by CLICKING HERE.
