Erin Lorenzini has announced her retirement from AFL Women’s football.

Lorenzini played seven games for the GIANTS after being recruited to the club ahead of the 2021 AFLW season.

The 36-year-old made the move to AFLW after an impressive career in basketball, where she represented Dandenong, Adelaide and the Sydney Flames in the WNBL.

Head of Women’s Football Briana Harvey thanked Lorenzini for her contribution to the GIANTS.

“Erin had a significant impact on our club in a short space of time and we thank her for her contribution over the past year,” said Harvey.

“We wish Erin and her family all the best in the future, and look forward to seeing what’s next for her.”
