Alan McConnell has been dealt one of his toughest team selections ahead of the GIANTS’ return to action against the Demons on Saturday with almost a full suite of players to select from.

The GIANTS last played in round four, recording one of the club’s greatest wins against the Bulldogs without seven regular players due to the AFL’s Health and Safety Protocols and including four club debutants. The round five match-up against the Saints was cancelled, with the GIANTS unable to field a team.

McConnell and the coaching staff have included Chloe Dalton, Katie Loynes, Pepa Randall, Rebecca Privitelli and Haneen Zrekia in the round six team.

First-gamers Georgia Fowler, Brodee Mowbray and Casidhe Simmons have all been omitted following the round four win, whilst Erin Lorenzini (omitted) and Lisa Steane (rested) are also out.

Tait Mackrill and Georgia Garnett have also not been selected after missing the GIANTS’ last match due to the AFL’s Health and Safety Protocols.

The GIANTS who missed out on selection in round six will play in Saturday’s Summer Series matches against the Swans.

The GIANTS will travel to Melbourne to take on the third-placed Melbourne Demons at 4:10pm on Saturday at Casey Fields.
