Local 18-year-old Jess Doyle will make her AFLW debut when the GIANTS take on the Kangaroos on Sunday.

Doyle is a skilful left footer who came through the Swans Academy but got her opportunity at the elite level with the GIANTS when she was drafted at pick 49 in the most recent draft.

Doyle was a member of the NAB AFLW Academy in 2021 and impressed with her goal-kicking in the local AFL Sydney competition, playing as a forward and on the wing for the Manly-Warringah Wolves.

The GIANTS will be without Bec Beeson (ankle) and Tait Mackrill (suspension) for Sunday's match, with the full team to be announced at 5:30pm on Saturday.

The game will be shown live from 1pm on Sunday on Channel 7 in NSW and the ACT as well as on Kayo, Foxtel and the AFL Women's App.
